I'm Biniyam Seid, a software and AI engineer working remotely across distributed systems, LLM applications, and cloud infrastructure. I care about shipping things that hold up in production and about helping the engineers around me get better.
Story
A short version
I studied Software Engineering at university, graduating on the Dean's List. My final-year project was a decentralized delivery system on blockchain — which is where my long-running interest in distributed systems started.
Since then I've worked across very different parts of the stack: research engineering at SingularityNET on a benchmark suite for neural-symbolic reasoning, senior full-stack work in JavaScript and Go at Taptosign, shipping LLM features and RAG pipelines on AWS, and mentoring 30+ engineers through A2SV on algorithms and system design.
The common thread is the same: take a messy real-world problem, decide what is and isn't worth modeling, design for observability and reversibility, and ship something that holds up at 2am on a Sunday.
